Tonight we are also going to have another performance and I am looking forward to getting up on the stage.

Kiwi Can

Today at Kiwi can we played 3 games we first played a game called objects. In this game we had to be creative with the objects and make it into something else. I found this game funny because our objects were really hard. The second game we played was hand soccer, In this game we played soccer but with hand only. Our last game we played was 10 down, In this game we had to get the ball touch the ground once and pass the ball we couldn't move with the ball or it would be a handover. I think today was fun because we got active outside and were creative.

Cross Country

On Thursday we went down to Dunkirk for cross country. We had to run 5 laps around the course and finish through a inflatable balloon that we had to pass when we finished. We were the last class to run because we were in the seniors, as we waited we cheered on the other classes and as time when pass it was time for my year to run. We stood in a line while waiting for the clapper to clap I was excited but nervous at the same time then when the clapper hit my ears I started jogging with Sanujan. Throughout the course we jogged the whole race we started off last because we didn't want to waste our energy, but we managed to overlap people and we came 8th and 9th (I was 8th). We had a good time even though we didn't make the top 3 hopefully Next year I can come `1st 2nd or 3rd.

Taking Risks - Kiwi Can

Today in our Kiwi Can session we started with a warm game that we have played once before, It was called bip bop bounce we started playing it in a circle, but boys and girls were separate. Then when we got better we made a bigger circle that was challenging for me. After this intense and exciting game we went outside to play hand soccer this game was similar to football but using hands only with was a bit hard for me to play. We played hand soccer outside and everyone participated and contributed it was a fun game because I scored 2 goals in 2 games which was really good for 3 minute games. At the end all of use joined in and in the game took risks. I had a lot of fun trying hard and scoring goals and we're looking forward for next week.

Learning to use synonyms - Freeman

Today for writing we had to edit these sentences and put in more powerful words. I worked collaboratively with Ofa on this task. We found this a little bit hard because at the end we noticed that not all the words we changed made sense when we read out our sentences. Next time I need to remember to check that my sentences make sense. We thought it was fun finding new and different powerful words to use in our writing.
