Day 7 - Activity 2

Activity 2: After you have finished up in Taupo, it is time to hop back in the car and head for Rotorua – a town where will have the chance for some much needed rest and relaxation. In fact, you will visit the Tarawera Bush Pool – a geothermal hot pool that is located in the middle of a forest. The warm water in the pool comes from underneath the ground. After a few hours in the pool you feel really relaxed.
On your blog, post a picture of yourself doing something relaxing. I find reading really relaxing. Here is a picture of me reading one of my favourite books!

  4. Hi Freeman.
Reading is one of the greatest kind of way to relax, and it's great that you choose to do that. Great job for doing most of the Winter Learning Journey, and I hope to see another post. Have fun and see you soon.

  5. Hello Freeman.
Reading is one of the things I also find relaxing. With detailed books, we can create our own images of the setting or character using only the information the author gave us. They can also take us on an adventure! Great job!

  6. Hi Freeman,

It's so cool to see you reading a book that you got from the library. It looks really interesting. What is it called? I am always curious to learn more about great books as I love to read as well. In my picture, I am actually reading a book about statistics (maths). It's a book that I have to read for work. When I am at home, however, I prefer to read books about interesting people or places, rather than maths!

I hope that you've had lots of time to relax this holiday. Enjoy your second week off and I'll see you early in Term 3 when I come into PBS to hand out certificates and prizes for the Winter Learning Journey programme.

    See you then!

    Rachel
