Learning to use synonyms - Freeman

Today for writing we had to edit these sentences and put in more powerful words. I worked collaboratively with Ofa on this task. We found this a little bit hard because at the end we noticed that not all the words we changed made sense when we read out our sentences. Next time I need to remember to check that my sentences make sense. We thought it was fun finding new and different powerful words to use in our writing.

  1. Super work Freeman! You and Ofa tried hard to experiment with lots of new vocabulary. Remember to use 'an' before a vowel (a, e, i, o, u) eg: 'Max made an error on his maths test.' Please go back and have a look at your other sentences to see if you need to make any other changes. Your next step is to try and use some of these words in your independent writing.
